Veneers are thin ceramic layers bonded to the front of your teeth – masking discolouration, closing gaps, correcting chips, and aligning crowded teeth. Porcelain is impermeable, making veneers highly resistant to staining from coffee, tea, or cigarettes.
Types of Veneers
At Ballyfermot Dental offer a full range of veneer options to suit every case and budget – from same-day solutions to world-leading laboratory veneers.

Porcelain vs Composite
Porcelain veneers are crafted in a laboratory and bonded at a follow-up appointment. We use Emax – an exceptionally strong porcelain allowing for very thin veneers with minimal or no preparation. Only the finest labs in Ireland, the UK and the USA are used.
Composite veneers come in three forms: Direct (applied chairside in one appointment), Indirect (laboratory-made, more durable, laser-sintered for lasting sheen), and Prefabricated (same-day, nano-hybrid composite veneers selected by colour and size).
What’s Involved?

Dental Crowns
A crown caps a tooth to restore its shape, strength, and appearance – essential for broken, cracked, or root-treated teeth. At Alexandra Dental Practice we use a CEREC 3D imaging suite to design, mill, glaze and fit a perfectly matched ceramic crown in a single visit. No temporaries, no return visits.
Cosmetic Smile Makeover
A combination of crowns, bridges, implants, veneers and laser technology to completely redesign your smile. Book a consultation to see what’s possible.
